Welcome to Trillium Farm community website.
Dear Trillium Farms Homeowners,
We hope you’re enjoying the summer season. Below are the latest updates regarding landscaping and community improvements:
Lawn Recovery and Maintenance
After several weeks of intense heat, the recent rainfall has brought welcome relief to our lawns. This, combined with Elevations’ decision to raise mowing heights to 4 inches, has led to visibly healthier and greener turf across the community. These efforts are helping to strengthen root systems and enhance overall lawn resilience. We will continue to monitor conditions closely and adapt our approach as needed to ensure continued health throughout the season.
Fertilization and Weed Control
Following the scheduled application of fertilization and grub control, Elevations has identified additional weed concerns—particularly with crabgrass, thistle, and clover. David will coordinate the appropriate timing for treatment of these issues to help restore uniformity in both individual yards and common areas.
Winter Salt Damage Repair
Elevations has already addressed some of the winter salt damage to driveway edges and will implement a second round of repairs this fall, when cooler temperatures are more conducive to successful turf restoration.
Mulch-Related Plant Replacements
For those homeowners who submitted a work order to PSI regarding mulch-related plant damage, Elevations has completed the necessary plant replacements. Thank you to all who reported issues promptly, allowing us to address them effectively.
Summer Mowing Practices
As another stretch of high temperatures approaches, please note that Elevations will continue to maintain a minimum mowing height of 4 inches throughout the summer. This practice helps retain soil moisture and reduces heat stress on the turf.
City Tree & Bush Trimming – Purnell Road
At the board’s request, the City of West Chicago has completed trimming the trees and bushes along Purnell Road. This work enhances visibility and safety for all residents entering and exiting the community.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and support in maintaining a beautiful and safe neighborhood. Should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out.
Sincerely,
